Singers & Whistlers

My wife sings all day. Sometimes in English, or Hebrew, and sometimes in French. I ask her what makes her so happy that she sings so often. My singing makes me happy she tells me, otherwise not so much.

I don’t remember my mother singing but I suspect she was a good singer because she could whistle. I don’t know where she picked that up but it was beautiful whistling either acappella or along with our radio. I asked her to please teach me how to whistle but she refused.

“No. This is the only thing that’s truly mine.”
